OrbitAID Secures .5M to Advance Space Refuelling Tech

OrbitAID’s Pre-Seed Funding: A New Chapter in SpaceTech Innovation

Chennai-based SpaceTech startup OrbitAID raises $1.5 million in pre-seed round led by Unicorn India Ventures, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards revolutionizing satellite servicing. With additional support from TANSIM, the Government of Tamil Nadu, OrbitAID is poised to advance its ambitious plans for sustainable space operations.

OrbitAID’s Vision for Sustainable Space Operations

Founded in 2021 by Sakthikumar R, Nikhil Balasubramanian, and Mano Balaji K, OrbitAID is dedicated to extending the lifespan and functionality of satellites through innovative on-orbit refueling solutions. The startup envisions a network of strategically positioned fuel stations in space, aiming to reduce space debris and enhance the long-term viability of space infrastructure. Their flagship product, the Standard Interface Docking and Refueling Port (SIDRP), promises to elevate the accessibility and reliability of satellite refueling operations.
